Basic Usage

  • Wire it before a ring group or queue.

  • Configure how you want the caller ID name changed.

  • Wire the next outcome to your ring group or queue.

Detailed Parameters

  • Action

    • Prefix: Adds text at the beginning of the caller’s name (e.g. [VIP] ).

    • Suffix: Adds text at the end.

    • Replace: Replaces the entire name with a new one (be cautious).

  • Text

    • What: The exact string you add, like VIP - or [Sales Call].

    • Tip: Keep it short, since phones often have limited display space.

Example Use Case

  • VIP Tagging: If you used a “What-If” node to detect “VIP,” then route calls here to add the prefix “VIP - ” to the caller ID before ringing the “Sales” group.
