Setting up and configuring Teams can be a pain, especially when it comes to managing temporary numbers before your real-world numbers port across.

We have a solution to make your life easier – ingress number translation.

In this example, we have assigned a temporary number – +618 6424 7130, which is translated to +618 9488 3344.  You configure Teams for the translated number, not the temporary number.

Teams Number Translation

Managing Temporary Numbers

  1. Order additional temporary numbers as required (1/10/100 blocks).
  2. Setup Teams users, auto-attendants and queues the the real-world numbers from your previous telco (ie the numbers that you’re porting to us).
  3. Login to https://account.mycloudvoip.com.au as a SuperUser.
  4. Tap Numbers across the top.
  5. In the list, find the temporary number and tap the blue edit button.
  6. Select the Target or real-world number you’d like to translate to.
  7. Tap OK, enter some notes if you wish, then tap OK.
  8. The change takes place immediately – note you may need to refresh the page to see the number changes.

Removing Number Translation

  1. Tap the blue edit button.
  2. Tap REMOVE TRANSLATION.
  3. Enter a reason if you wish, and tap OK.
  4. The change takes place immediately.
