Forward calls on your extension, or on a Call Director for your company, by dialling a feature code from your desk phone or softphone.

Call forwarding feature codes let you redirect calls straight from your desk phone or softphone, with no need to log in to the portal. You can forward your own extension, forward it only when you are busy, or forward a whole Call Director (such as a ring group or your main number) for your company.

## The codes

`Green` codes turn a forward on. `Red` codes turn it off. Replace the {blue} part with your own number.

> **Set up a BLF key:** program a BLF or speed-dial key on your phone with *75*{account number}. The key lights up while that Call Director is forwarded, and pressing it cancels the forward.

> **Note:**
> **Good to know:** you can only forward Call Directors that belong to your own company. Calls forwarded to external numbers are charged as normal outbound calls.

## Common Questions

**Q: How do I know the forward is on?**

A: When you set a forward, you hear a confirmation that reads back the destination number. For a Call Director, a BLF key set to *75*{account number} lights up while the forward is active.

**Q: Can I forward calls to an overseas number?**

A: No. Only Australian mobiles, landlines with an area code, and 1300, 1800 and 13 numbers are accepted. International, premium (19xx) and emergency numbers are not accepted.

**Q: Why did I hear "invalid"?**

A: The destination number or the account number was not accepted. Check that the number is Australian and includes the area code, and that the Call Director belongs to your company.

**Q: Will I be charged for forwarded calls?**

A: Yes. Calls forwarded to external numbers are charged as normal outbound calls.
