My Options
Voice Over Internet Protocol is hot. Why – because
there are so many options on the way you can apply the technology
to your life in order to save you money and provide you with
flexibility never before seen.
This flexibility has its down side - because there are so
many options, they can also be confusing. As such, we have
laid out a number of ways you can take advantage of Simtex
whilst giving you ideas to explore yourself.
Standard Use
| 1. From your Existing telephone |
 |
| by placing a black box behind your normal
telephone, you can continue using your existing cordless
phone to make VOIP calls over your broadband connection. |
| |
|
| 2. From an IP phone |
 |
| An IP phone is a phone that is designed
to work using Internet Protocol. It looks and operates
just like a normal phone, other than the cost savings
you make. |
| |
|
| 3. From your Computer |
 |
| By down loading a free SIP compatible
dialer (A dialer is a piece of software that looks like
a phone and allows you to make phone calls) you are able
to make calls from your computer to other computers or
standard telephones. To do this, you just need to know
the other parties phone number. |
| |
|
| 4. From your USB phone |
 |
| A USB phone is a device that looks like
a car phone that plugs into your computer. It looks and
feels like a normal phone such that you have a more traditional
telephony experience. |
